Reformation was a time
when men discovered,
in the dusty basement
of late medievalism,
a whole cellar full
of fifteen-hundred-year-old,
two-hundred proof
Grace –
bottle after bottle
of pure distillate
of Scripture,
one sip of which
would convince anyone
that God saves us
single-handedly …
Grace has to be drunk
straight:
no water,
no ice,
and certainly no ginger ale;
neither goodness,
nor badness,
not the flowers
that bloom in the spring
of super spirituality
could be allowed to enter into the case.
God's grace is for all people,
ReplyDeleteA truth so wonderful to know!
He listens, leads and guides us,
Wherever we will go.
He comforts when we're weary,
He calms us, makes us strong,
When we turn to him in prayer
Every day, for all life long.
.. Little inspiration from the lord given to me for all my lovely friends, especially Vincent, who is refreshing, inspiring and giving great guidance in the shorttime we know each other. Praise the lord for making our paths cross. God bless, xx Anja.
